Perfect for class work or cover work, this Maths Fun pack includes numbers 1-100 and is best suited to approx. 6-8 year olds. It provides one activity sheet each on 2D shapes, 3D shapes, symmetry, weights, sequences and number order, magic triangles and squares. Learners use previous knowledge to work through the activities and puzzles. All activities can also be completed as a Fun Marble Challenge, which is explained along with other suggestions. All resources were created in Word or PowerPoint (presentation) and are included as .pdf files. Word files were created in 2 formats, i.e. A4 and letter. Each was then made into a .pdf file. The presentation is included as original as well as .pdf file. Please refer to filenames for sizes and formats. Maths, English, Science and Food Technology - This fun-packed project will involve your reception or Year 1 class in fun activities. Some of the skills involved include estimating, measuring, investigating, designing, describing. Some tasks lend themselves particularly to group work. A 6-page document with suggestions for use and differentiation is also included. Talk about pasta and their shapes, use them to measure items, experiment with pasta in various ways, design your own, create a bar chart, make a pasta monster and write about it. These are just a few of the activities and tasks included. This could be a 3-4 week project, though it depends on how many lessons are dedicated to the project each week. Skills practised through the use of this resource: matching, counting, sequencing, numbering, writing numbers 1-10, adding within 1-10, colouring while counting, reading and recognising numbers 1-10, reading names for 7 small animals These cards can be printed in black and white or in colour, laminated for repeated use with erasable markers or left as paper cards for one use only. Cut up the cards for various activities or leave them 6 to a sheet as ‘task mats’. Also suitable for station learning and scavenger hunt type activities.
